Buying a shotgun at Guns 2 Ammo
We carry pump, semi-auto and over/under shotguns from Mossberg, Beretta, Maverick, CZ, Winchester and Remington, for home defense, hunting, and trap and skeet.
Pick the right type
- Pump-action: simple, reliable and affordable. Think Mossberg 500/590 and Maverick 88 for home defense and hunting.
- Semi-auto: softer recoil and fast follow-up shots for dove, ducks, clays and 3-gun.
- Over/under: the classic choice for trap, skeet and sporting clays.
- 12 or 20 gauge: 12 gauge is the most versatile. 20 gauge kicks less and suits smaller-framed shooters.

Shotgun FAQ

A pump or semi-auto 12 or 20 gauge with an 18 to 20 inch barrel is the most common choice. The Mossberg 590 and Maverick 88 are popular, affordable options.
Under federal law, a shotgun barrel must be at least 18 inches and the gun at least 26 inches overall. Anything shorter is a short-barreled shotgun (SBS), which is an NFA item. See our NFA guide.
Usually yes, in person, if the shotgun is legal in both Arizona and your home state. You can also order online and have it shipped to an FFL near you.
Out-of-stock guns can't be ordered online, but call us at (602) 715-2677. We may be able to get it from a distributor.
