Why start here

Build rifle skills the right way

The 2-hour Rifle Fundamentals class at Guns 2 Ammo in Mesa costs $99.99 and runs Thursday evenings at 5:45 PM.

The AR-15 is easy to shoot and easy to shoot badly. A rifle that is not zeroed, a sloppy position, or a fumbled reload undoes good equipment. Rifle Fundamentals gives you a solid foundation before bad habits set in.

Whether you just bought your first AR-15, are deciding which one to buy, or want to tighten up your basics, this is the place to start in the East Valley.

Safety first

Every student learns safe long-gun handling, muzzle discipline and our range rules before live fire.

Coaching on the line

Classes are capped at six students so an NRA-certified instructor can coach every shooter through each drill.

A real zero

Leave knowing how your rifle is zeroed and how to confirm it, so your shots land where you aim.

Positions that work

Standing, kneeling and supported positions you can actually use, plus smooth reloads.

The curriculum

What the class covers

Safe long-gun handling

Muzzle discipline, safe carry and handling on the range and at home.

AR-15 controls

Safety selector, charging handle, magazine release, bolt catch and how the platform operates.

Zeroing

What a zero is, how to set one and how to confirm it on the range.

Marksmanship positions

Stable standing, kneeling and supported positions for consistent accuracy.

Reloads

Smooth, safe magazine changes so you stay in the fight, or just keep shooting.

Live fire on the range

Put it all together on our indoor range with coaching from your instructor.
