Buying suppressors and NFA items at Guns 2 Ammo
We're an SOT Class 3 dealer in Mesa with one of the larger suppressor selections in the Valley, from Dead Air, HUXWRX, SilencerCo, SureFire, Q, Kinetic, Rugged and more, plus SBRs, short-barreled shotguns and AOWs.
What changed in 2026
- $0 tax stamp: since January 1, 2026, suppressors, SBRs, SBS and AOWs carry a $0 tax stamp.
- Two ways to buy: since October 9, 2026, you can take these items home the same day on a Form 4473 and background check, or register them with an eForm 4 if you want them on record. Decide before you buy, since an item taken home unregistered generally can't be registered later.
- Machine guns didn't change: they still need full Form 4 approval and the $200 tax.
Pick the right suppressor
- Rimfire: small, light cans for .22s. The quietest and cheapest place to start. Shop suppressors
- Pistol: 9mm and .45 cans, usually with a booster for semi-auto pistols.
- Rifle: 5.56 and .30-caliber cans for ARs and bolt guns, direct-thread or quick-detach.
- Multi-caliber: one can for several guns. A .30-cal rifle can covers 5.56, .300 BLK and .308.
Fees, timelines and both buying options are explained on our NFA & Class III page. Questions? Call (602) 715-2677.
