The Rugged Suppressors Obsidian 45 is a modular big-bore pistol suppressor that does the work of several cans. Run it full length for the quietest setup on a .45 ACP or 10mm, or remove the ADAPT module and shoot it in its short configuration when you want a lighter, handier package on a carry-size pistol. It's rated for full-auto on pistol calibers, with 17-4 stainless steel baffles that hold up to heavy use.
Because it's built around .45 caliber, one Obsidian 45 covers a lot of guns: 9mm, .40 S&W, 10mm and .45 ACP pistols, plus subsonic .300 Blackout and big-bore rifles like .44 Magnum, .45-70 and 450 Bushmaster (see the barrel-length minimums below). It ships with a .578x28 piston for .45 ACP pistols. Add the right piston or fixed spacer and the same can moves to your other hosts.

Questions we get about the Obsidian 45
Will it work on my 9mm?
Yes. You'll need a 1/2x28 piston (or the thread your barrel uses), sold separately. The included piston is .578x28 for .45 ACP.
Can I shoot it short?
Yes. Pull the ADAPT module and the can drops to 6.7" and 10.7 oz, which is handy on compact pistols. Full length is quieter.
Can I clean it myself?
Yes. It comes apart, and the stainless baffles can be cleaned by hand or in an ultrasonic cleaner.
